I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name – Isaiah 45:3
Women of Excellence held inspiring two day business empowerment services. Ladies from different walks of life were taught the importance of establishing their own businesses and principles that make one successful in business.
Apostle Joy Museba ministered to the expectant women, teaching the word of God and sharing from his immense business acumen, tenets that have determined his success. He pointed out that most Christians are not living up to their full potential in business because of various reasons. Some are running businesses without understanding what a business is or learning how to run their business. “A business is a system that works for you. It’s not you working but the systems that you put in place working for you. It’s something that you own that your children can inherit. It creates a foundation for the blessing of God to manifest,” he said.
He acknowledged that most Christians fail in business because they want things handed to them on a silver platter without putting in the work yet business is not easy. He said business is not for the faint hearted, it is risky and with very likely possibilities of failing. However, when one falls the blessing of God will grant the strength to get up and try again.
“We serve a powerful God and it is difficult to understand why Christians remain limited and weak. Our God is all powerful yet most of us are beggars. We are here to correct all that so that you will properly represent God,” said Apostle Joy.
Deuteronomy 8 v 18 talks about God giving His people power to get wealth and why His people should become wealthy. It states that this is so that He may establish His covenant, the covenant is already there but for it to be established there has to be wealth. There are certain dimensions of life that people will never live because they do not have money. The basic covenant that is between us and God was established through our Lord Jesus Christ. When we are talking about money we are talking about deliverance and salvation. People have Jesus but they do not have money which makes them limited in their Christian life.
The man of God encouraged women to be established in business, to know that marriage is not a financial plan. “Having a boyfriend, partner or husband is not a business. What help will you offer if you do not have anything to offer. For those who are married the question is, did you get married because of love or poverty? Were you really married because it was your choice? If married is done for the wrong reason it will not be enjoyable,” he said.
He gave an example of the Proverbs 31 woman who is a mother, a wife and a business woman. This goes to show that one is not complete if they are not a significant person in the market place. Some of the principles that were taught during the session to make one successful included seeking the blessing of God, serving God, giving and having a clear strategy.
The Women of Excellence were taught that when they get a chance to serve God, they should do it with all their might. Additionally, that the blessing on its own is not sufficient to make one rich. “A blessed man without a strategy might live like a cursed man. Having a blessing and not having wisdom is a curse, how much have you invested to become wise? The church is full of blessed but foolish people. What is lacking is business intelligence,” Apostle Joy shared.
He also read from the book of Psalms 78vs 41 and said that the unlimited God can be limited by people. When His children don’t have a platform for the blessing to manifest, He is limited on how He can intervene on their behalf. When one is employed the employer determines the income but when one has a business they determine their own income. He encouraged the women in attendance to be hardworking, disciplined and to keep learning and progressing in business.
